Volunteers

Sign-up to help out at cmf2007 and receive free attendance at the most exciting industry event in Scandinavia!

Who are volunteers?

Typically, volunteers are people with an involvement in the industry, who are interested in the conference and who could otherwise not afford to attend. They can be students or industry professionals.

What can I expect to be doing at the conference?

Primarily, the job of the volunteer is to provide practical support. We are looking for people who can assist as room monitors, help/registration desk attendants and anything else to ensure the smooth running of the conference.

What qualifications do I need?

You don't have to be an expert! Students and enthusiasts work alongside industry professionals. Enthusiasm and interest are important qualities. You must have a good attitude and an interest in the field, but you definitely don't need a degree in computer science. The conference is a great place to learn more about portals, intranet and content management, but this kind of experience is not particularly relevant to volunteering. Volunteering is about helping people and providing good service, not XHTML and XML.

What do I get?

Volunteers receive free registration which allows access to all days of the conference as well as all social events. You will be required to work 15 hours in return. Volunteers receive all resources available to delegates. Lunch is provided all 3 days.

How do I get to experience the conference?

A picture from cmf2007Once you have been accepted as a volunteer, you will be asked to provide a preferred work schedule. We will attempt to schedule your work commitments around your requirements. If there is a session in particular you would like to attend, you can either be given the time off or be assigned to that session as a room monitor.

How do I apply?

Please, send an e-mail to let us know if you would like to apply.

Remember to indicate if you require accommodation.
