Presentation
Thursday, November 8th: 10.30 - 12.00
Track: Open Source
Experiences from two worlds – from commercial to open source CMS
Chr. Hansen launched it’s first CMS based website in 20001, and has since then published a number of country websites and targeted marketing websites. After redesigning the websites, they have been transferred to an
open source CMS platform in 2006-7. With a new commercial e-commerce solution in the making and the strategic choice of Intranet platform coming up, it will be interesting to see if Chr. Hansen stays on the open source
track for the external websites in the future.
The presentation focuses on sharing our experiences with the strategic choice of CMS and implementation partners, and our (yet limited - but positive) experiences with the selected open source solution.
- How and why we decided to use an open source CMS
- Experiences from the implementation project
- Evaluation of our CMS choice in terms of: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats
