As a partner in a law firm, Lau specialises in IT and telecommunications. His practice covers systems procurement, outsourcing, M&A, corporate transactions and litigation related to the IT and telecoms industries. Lau is ranked as a leading Danish practitioner in his field by Legal 500, PLC which Lawyer? and Expert Guides, Legal Media Group.
Lau obtained his law degree from University of Copenhagen in 1991 and his LL.M from Vrije University Brussels the same year.
He worked for Kromann Reumert in Brussels and Copenhagen before becoming a partner in 2000 and was external lecturer at University of Copenhagen 1993 - 1997.
Lau is the author of numerous articles published in Denmark and internationally on IT and telecoms law.

All procurements in the EU of complex CM, portal or web solutions to enable e-government will be subject to the EU procurement directives. Further, there is increased focus on the quality of the contracts, e.g to ensure that the success criteria of the project are met and that data privacy issues are properly addressed.
Lau Normann Jørgensen, who is a veteran lawyer of information technology contracts and public procurement law, will share his experience in what to do and what to avoid in that critical process.
