Track: Strategy & Governance
Promoting new ways of doing things
Successful projects call for changes within organisations, specifically a shift in employees' mindset. This should inspire them to develop better ways of doing their job. For instance, letting go of traditional document-based word processing makes some people uncomfortable. They may consider this change unnecessary or that they loose control, because they don't trust the new system. They may not even believe in the idea of effective web management and governance. So they stick to the old ways of doing things.
Web projects call for good communication skills in order to promote these human changes. It also requires a strong talent for building coalitions. This talk will focus on how to manage these challenges, mixed with own experiences as a project manager.
